There was something special about the Japanese import scene that got my attention as a child. What I really loved about the scene was that you could buy a stock car and make it your own, unique vehicle by installing modifications to make it stand out in the sea of regular cars. However, there wasn’t really a car that captured my attention and then that all changed back in 2003.
I first noticed the G35 when it first was released in 2003. I loved the aggressive, yet sleek looks. I also loved the power the G delivered and especially the coupe exhaust note. Whenever I heard the sound of a G, I would turn around and give my undivided attention to it until it drove away. So since 2003, I knew that this would be the car for me.
Flash forward 4 years, I finally bought my G and began to hang around fellow G/ Z fanatics. I feel accomplished now that I have the car that I’ve always wanted, belong to the import scene, and will strive to continually make my car one of a kind to stand out amongst the crowd.
It took Hotchkis 4 years to develop sway bars for the AWD G sedans, but thankfully they finally did. The sways are now installed and the difference in the handling of the car is night and day. Also, Racing Brake is developing open slotted 2 piece rear rotors for the Akebono BBKs so I will be balancing out the look of the G.
Aside from that, I hope to be picking up Impul sides and rear lip spoiler at the end of the year and will be looking to switch out my black Volks with a different color and a more aggressive offset to better complement my drop (wallet willing that is).
